Vascular damage and thrombotic events are the leading cause of death in developed countries. They are responsible for specific pathologies (phlebitis, acute coronary syndrome) but also contribute to the severity of chronic diseases (cancer, inflammatory pathologies...). Team 2 "Thrombosis, platelets and vascular disorders" implements high-throughput screening strategies (genes, proteins...) in cohorts and families of patients recruited locally and from international networks to identify new pathways of diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic interest. The fundamental aspect of the team's work is to validate or identify new pathophysiological mechanisms involved in hemostasis, thrombosis and vascular diseases.
